"Mackey theory 1.01 — finite groups"
Abstract
I will describe the main result of Mackey theory, namely the complete description of irreducible representations of semidirect products of the form A x| H, with A abelian. The relevant tools will include induced representations, Frobenius reciprocity, and Mackey's irreducibility criterion.
The seminar takes place on Thursdays from 10:15 a.m. to 12:00
in the room 2.23 of the main building of the Faculty of Physics (the 2nd floor), Pasteur Str. 5,
Warszawa.
